
The French Formula 1 team Alpine F1 Team has officially announced that Indian driver Kush Maini will become its reserve driver for the 2025 season.
Besides, the 24-year-old Maini will compete in Formula 2 for the DAMS team. It was previously disclosed on January 10 that a long-term contract had been signed with Argentine driver Franco Colapinto as another reserve driver.
For the upcoming season, the main drivers for Alpine will be Frenchman Pierre Gasly and Australian Jack Doohan. The new 2025 season is set to begin on March 16 with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
On February 24, Alpine's press service unveiled the new A525 car, which has undergone testing at the Bahrain International Circuit.
