Formula 1 to Drop Dutch Grand Prix from Calendar in 2026

Formula 1 and the promoter of the Dutch Grand Prix have announced a one-year contract extension, meaning the event will remain on the calendar only through the 2026 season.

However, the promoter intends to continue hosting the event beyond 2026. The 2025 Dutch Grand Prix is set to take place from August 29 to 31, and the 2026 date, featuring a sprint for the first time, will be revealed in 2025.

This season, the Dutch Grand Prix was won by British driver Lando Norris from McLaren, with Max Verstappen from Red Bull finishing in second place in his home race. Charles Leclerc from Ferrari rounded out the top three.

Earlier, two-time world champion Fernando Alonso from the Aston Martin Formula 1 team commented on a penalty received by Dutch driver Max Verstappen during the qualifying round of the Qatar Grand Prix.
