Former heavyweight world champion, British boxer Anthony Joshua, has expressed his desire to step into the ring with fellow countryman Tyson Fury.
Anthony Joshua for BoxingScene
It's a fight [Joshua vs Fury] I want to see, because I'm a fan of boxing, so I want to get that fight underway. The reason I decided to do some interesting stuff (on social media) is because I haven't got many years ahead of me. I've had more years behind me. So what I want to do is leave the game with a bang and make an impact. Every time I see people they say: 'When you fighting Fury?' It has to happen this year.
Fury last fought against Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024. That match went the full distance and ended with Fury losing by unanimous decision. He currently has 34 victories (24 by knockout), two losses, and one draw.
Joshua's most recent fight was against Daniel Dubois in September 2024. This bout, which was stopped in the fifth round, resulted in a knockout loss for Anthony. His record stands at 28 wins (25 by knockout) and four losses.
