No Limit Boxing, the promotional company representing Australian fighter Sam Goodman, announced that he would not be able to compete against the undisputed world champion in the super bantamweight division, Japan’s Naoya Inoue, due to health issues.
The fight was initially scheduled for December 24, 2024, but was postponed to January 24, 2025, because of a cut Goodman sustained during training.
No Limit Boxing regrets to announce that Sam Goodman has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout against Naoya Inoue on January 24 due to a recurrence of his eye injury.
Inoue last fought against TJ Doheny in September 2024, a match that was stopped in the seventh round, where Naoya won by technical knockout. He has a record of 28 wins (25 by knockout) and no losses.
Goodman's last bout was against Thachtana Luangphon in July 2024, which went the distance and ended in his favor by unanimous decision. He has 19 wins (eight by knockout) and no losses.
