IBF world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois shared his expectations for the upcoming match between Filip Hrgovic and Joseph Joyce, set for April 5 at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester.
I think Hrgovic can win it, he’s got a good style. He’s had the time to rebuild, so I’m looking forward to it. It’s interesting, is Joe going to come in and maul him? I’m looking forward to it to see what Hrgovic is like now. I heard an interview the other day where he said he’s ready and means business, so we’ll see.
Hrgovic last stepped into the ring in June 2024, where he lost to Daniel Dubois by technical knockout in the eighth round. He holds a record of 17 wins (14 by knockout) and one loss.
Joseph Joyce was last in action in July 2024, losing to Derek Chisora by unanimous decision. His record stands at 16 wins (15 by knockout) and three losses.
Daniel Dubois fought most recently in October 2024, scoring a knockout victory over Anthony Joshua in the fifth round. He has a record of 22 wins (21 by knockout) and two losses.
