
The match between famous Mexican boxer Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and American Terence Crawford will not take place in September. This was reported by The Ring.
The reasons for the cancellation of the fight are still unknown. Initially, the boxers were scheduled to face off in Las Vegas (USA) this September.
Canelo last stepped into the ring against Edgar Berlanga in September 2024. Saul won that match by unanimous decision, defending his WBA, WBC, and WBO titles in the super middleweight category. His record stands at 62 wins (39 by knockout), two losses, and two draws.
Crawford fought his last match against Israil Madrimov in August 2024. In that contest, Terence secured victory by unanimous decision and captured the WBA world champion title along with the interim WBO belt in the super welterweight category. He boasts a record of 41 wins (31 by knockout) and no losses.
