Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and his son, guard Bronny, have made history as the first father-son duo to play on the same NBA team in a game together.

On October 22, the Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 110-103 (22:23, 33:19, 27:32, 28:29). The 39-year-old "King James" scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, and provided four assists. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Bronny played for two minutes and 41 seconds.

On June 28, the Lakers drafted the son of the three-time Olympic champion and four-time NBA champion in the second round as the 55th overall pick for the league's 2024 draft. On August 28, LeBron revealed to TMZ that during games, Bronny wouldn't be allowed to call him "dad".
