One of the prominent personalities of Indian football, with a unique combination of a player-manager-administrator having an esteemed perspective on the business prospects of Club, State & National Football with over 35 years experience in National & International football.
He is a Former India Goalkeeper, played +500 games in professional & international level (1979-1992) started playing professional at the age of 17 yrs. he was the member of the Indian football team which won the Gold Medal at the South Asian Game 1987 Kolkata, and the Bronze Medal at the South Asian Games 1989 Islamabad.
Bestowed with the highest state award by Government of Maharashtra “The Shiv Chhatrapati Award” for excellence in sports (1986).
He is currently the Governing Council Member International Sports University. Maharashtra (Govt of Maharashtra).
His role extended to being DyChairman AIFF Technical & CEO Maharashtra (Western India Football Association), Which is responsible to put focus on planning Grassroots, Youth Development Programmes and producing number of ‘quality’ Coaches by proper Coach Education Programmes.
He is the brain behind conceptualising, initiating & executing the AIFF ‘D’ License that has produced more than 7500 Coaches in Maharashtra & 4500 Grassroots Leaders in Maharashtra.
Henry has been the coordinator for AIFF responsible to put up the bid document to host the Under17 Men & Women World Cup in India for the years 2017 & 2020/22 for Maharashtra (Navi Mumbai).
Was responsible to bring back international football back to mumbai after 66 years in 2016 where India beat Puerto Rico 4-1 in Mumbai.
Successfully conducted the 'JR. CHAMPS' which got a place in the LIMCA BOOK of records for a record participation of more than 11,000 kids. The event was held across Mumbai in 16 different locations.
He has successfully headed the ‘Mahindra United’ Football Club and Guided Mahindra United to qualify for the AFC Cup competitions in 2004, 2006, 2007 where they reached the Quarter-final Stage in 2007, also won the I-league, Federation cup, and other prestigious tournaments and leagues across the country
Chiefly Instrumental in starting a Professional Football Club 'MUMBAI FC' in the year 2007. In a short time of 20 months guided the team to the top flight of Indian Football (the I-league).
