At the Majors, Botik defeated Canadian Shapovalov, the 105th ranked player in the world, in 3 sets. The match against the Canadian lasted two hours and 21 minutes, Botik won it with the score 6:4, 7:5, 6:4. During the game, the Dutchman made no aces with five double faults, won 72 per cent of points on his first serve and 56 per cent on his second serve.

There is no doubt that Carlos will get a very confident win over the Dutchman in the second round of the Majors. Botic is a comfortable opponent for Carlos, Carlos beat the Dutchman in Melbourne three and a half years ago in three sets, and since then the Spaniard has improved in his skills, which is not the case with Botic. In addition, Alcaraz has already got some practice on the local courts and will only improve from match to match.
