Iga Swiatek vs. Belinda Bencic Prediction: Swiatek To Win Against Belinda

On Monday, World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will face Belinda Bencic in the 2023 United Cup group round.

In her first singles tie, Swiatek faced Yulia Putintseva. She had a break point in her opening service game but held serve. She got down 0-30 in her second service game but immediately raised her level. She won the first game by winning five games in a row.

At the start of the second set, both women's serves were consistent. Swiatek broke Putintseva's serve in the fifth game to take a 3-2 lead. She broke her opponent's service for the last time after a couple more games to win the match 6-1, 6-3.

In her previous singles match here, Bencic also faced Putintseva. She got out to a rocky start, falling behind 4-1, but finally got back on serve. She then saved three set points to even the score at 5-5. The set quickly proceeded to a tie-break, which the Swiss won by winning seven straight points.

Bencic trailed 3-1 in the second set after taking an early break, but rallied to win the match 7-6 (0), 6-3.

Bencic needed a comeback in both sets to beat her opponent. While she was let off the hook in her previous encounter, Swiatek is unlikely to do so again. The Pole is a strong frontrunner, and once she's in the zone, it's difficult for her opponents to gain ground.

Swiatek has been the most dominant player on the WTA circuit for quite some time, and she doesn't appear to be ready to relinquish that title just yet. The World No. 1 is expected to keep winning.
