ZED FC vs Zamalek Prediction: Zamalek to secure first win over ZED

ZED FC and Zamalek will battle it out in round 23 of the Egyptian Premier League. Heading into this fixture, the winning chances of both teams are close. Which team gets the best outcome here? Below is a preview of the game and betting opportunities. 

ZED FC faced defeat in their last league game against Pyramids and will eye a better result here. In that game, ZED FC went behind before the break through Ramadan Sobhi’s strike for Pyramids. However, while Mostafa Ziko leveled the score for them just five minutes into the second half, an 86th-minute strike by Marwan Hamdi denied this team a point in that encounter. Heading into this game, ZED FC have a record of three wins and two defeats in their last five matches. In that run, they lost to the National Bank of Egypt while they secured wins over Modern Sport, ENPPI, and El Gaish.

Zamalek are coming off a league win over ENPPI, which ended 4-2. In that encounter, Nasser Mansy Dessouky scored twice in the first 14 minutes of the game to put this team in the lead. However, Youssef Obama also scored twice within three minutes in the second half to extend Zamalek’s lead before ENPPI reduced the deficit. Zamalek have struggled against this ZED team in the past, and I expect a better and improved play from them this time, even though they are on the road. While ZED, however, have been very decent, especially at home, where they lost just one of their last seven games, I believe that Zamalek are in pole position to secure their first win in this fixture, given their CAF Competition objective and recent performances. Also, while ZED have been good offensively lately, I expect this game to involve goals from both teams.
