The only reason to be proud is the draw with Serbia - 1:1, but even it does not allow them to leave the last place in Group G.

As a result of the draw for the qualification tournament for Euro 2024, the national teams of Montenegro and Bulgaria found themselves in a very even group from which they could expect to qualify for the final part of the competition. Still, they have already squandered too many points in their four opening games to expect any final success. Nevertheless, the head-to-head battle is a good chance to sharpen the intrigue in fighting for the top two spots in the standings.

The teams of Montenegro and Bulgaria can not boast a high performance in personal meetings. In the previous five encounters, the rivals have combined their efforts to manage only six goal kicks (1.20 per game on average), which is extremely low by the standards of European football. And in the upcoming battle, where the price of any mistake will be extremely high, it is unlikely that we should expect a goal extravaganza.
