Mashujaa vs Namungo Prediction: The home side can’t afford to lose three consecutive matches

After some rough patches in recent weeks, Mashujaa can’t afford to drop points when they face off against a struggling Namungo at the CCM Lake Tanganyika Stadium on Saturday. 

Last five games: LWDLL

The Heros, who started strong this season, struggle to find their rhythm. They have now lost three games in their last five matches, heading here with a slim defeat against Tabora United. Mashujaa FC were a victim of an early goal, and even though they kept trying, Tabora United were strong enough to neutralize their attacks. The loss was after their slim (0-1) loss against Simba SC on their home turf. 

Mashujaa FC have won three, lost three, and drawn four times this season, dropping to eighth spot on the log. 

They have played exceptionally well from last season until their recent games; however, we still expect them to finish strong in this campaign. Mashujaa have lost twice at home over their previous nine league games. 

Last five games: LLLWL

The Southern Killers are one of the two teams without a stalemate this season, heading here with another defeat on the road. After their (1-0) victory over Namungo, we thought they were back on their feet until they suffered another blow away from home. 

Namungo have been inconsistent this season, losing seven games over their previous ten games, as it has been an all-or-nothing for them.

Namungo have picked up nine points from a combined thirty, scoring five and conceding twelve times. In that period, they have won three and lost seven games. 

Namungo has managed one win over their last five away matches this season. 

Over their last three meetings, Mashujaa have won once, while Namungo have managed a win and a game ending in a tie. Mashujaa FC are a solid team when playing on their ground while the guests have been among the worst sides on the road. I think Mashujaa will avoid defeat here, and considering that all their home losses have come against a top-four side, I expect them to secure all the points here.

I’m not sure a BTTS will surface here, as the guests have failed to score in three consecutive games on the road.

Mashujaa will most likely start strong, and I anticipate a win and scoring over 1.5 goals here for 2.40.
