Young Boys vs St. Gallen Prediction: The home team will bounce back to their best

Swiss Super League action at Wankdorf Stadium will see Young Boys play St. Gallen in week 16 matches. The previous time in the league, these teams settled for a draw against their opponents. Will there be a winner in this one?

Young Boys' last encounter was against Atlanta, and they lost. In a game that ended 1-6, Young Boys had 45 per cent of the possession and attempted nine shots while converting the only one that hit the target, thanks to Silvere Ganvoula's strike. However, Young Boys last league win was against Lugano, ending 2-1. In other encounters, the home team lost to Shakhtar Donetsk while drawing Luzern and Zurich. 

St. Gallen's last league game was against Yverdon, and they settled for a goalless draw. In that encounter, St. Gallen had 56 per cent of the possession, attempting 16 shots with three on targets, which they failed to convert. However, St. Gallen have not lost any of their last six games, winning two and drawing four. This season, St. Gallen have 21 points from their last 15 games, scoring 25 goals and conceding 19, as they sit 7th spot. 

Young Boys have been below par this season, struggling to break out of the relegation spot. However, St. Gallen have been incredible lately, pulling off an unbeaten run of games. The two teams have a lot to give, given their poor performances this season. Yet, I expect Young Boys to be at their best, given they are at home and will look to turn the tables following another struggling performance against Atlanta in the Champions League. Expect a close contest, and a bet on a few goals is a good option.
