South Sudan vs Congo Prediction: Both sides are terrible at the break, so we anticipate a goal apiece here

The Bright Stars of South Sudan will have to try again next time after four consecutive losses in the group and will now play for pride when they host Congo at the Juda Stadium. The visitors kept their hope alive when they picked up a point against South Africa a few weeks ago, and they must win their next two matches and hope either Uganda or Bafana Bafana drops points to advance. It seems impossible, but they are still in the race mathematically.

The Bright Stars' journey ended abruptly after their (1-2) loss against Uganda on their home turf. South Sudan, who could have picked up a point after a significant defensive shift, conceded an own goal to gift their guests all the points. They also allowed Uganda to create twenty goal-scoring chances against them. South Sudan, who have won once over their previous ten games, have failed to win any of their group matches. 

The Bright Stars will play for pride against their guests and we actually don’t expect anything from them here.

The Red Devils picked up an important point against a strong South African side on their home turf. After their poor display on the road, where they conceded five without a response, Congo held on against South African in front of their home supporters to keep their hope of making it to Morocco alive. Congo have now picked up four points from a combined twelve, scoring twice and conceding eight goals. 

Congo's form have retrogressed over the years, and after a poor run in the AFCON Qualifier, Congo Brazzaville will try their luck this time. 

Congo have some top-quality players but have failed to work as a team in recent games. Congo stand a slim chance of advancing to the next round; however, it’ll take a lot of hardwork and luck to achieve that. 

South Sudan have been below par in this tournament and were lucky to have conceded just two goals in their last game. Although six of their players play for Al Hilal Omdurman, South Sudan have not really worked as a team. There isn’t much synergy between them, and the team spirit is presently terrible. 

It’s not that Congo have been a good side as well, but they have potential and boost more foreign players. This is a dicey game, and we think both teams will find the back of the net since the two sides are yet to keep a clean sheet in their last three matches.

Congo will definitely start strong here, and we expect them to score before the break for 2.10.
