Polokwane City vs Kaizer Chiefs Prediction: The guests are the closest to securing all the points

Polokwane City will lock horns against Amakhosi on Sunday at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium. The Orange Boys have a stern test ahead of their clash against a wounded Kaizer Chiefs side and must not lose concentration at any point in the game if they are to get anything away from this game.

The Orange Boys settled for a share of the spoils on their home turf against a resurgent TS Galaxy team. Polokwane City who started the game poorly and conceded with almost the last kick at the break, overturned the score when Tsabalala Sibusiso found the back of the net in the 85th minute to split points. Not their best performance; however, it was a more impressive display compared to their back-to-back defeats against Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns.

After almost losing their lead when they were reduced to ten men against Richards Bay, Kaizer Chiefs conceded late goals to split points on their home turf. It was a devastating performance from the Amakhosi, who had scored twice in thirteen minutes but lost focus during the game as Royal AM carted away a point in a (2-2) stalemate. Nasreddine Nabi's men have picked up eleven points from a combined twenty-one, scoring twelve and conceding ten.

Kaizer Chiefs have lost once, won twice and drawn a game over their last four games on the road.

Over their previous twenty meetings, Polokwane City have won three, while Kaizer Chiefs have recorded ten wins and seven games ending in a tie. Kaizer Chiefs have been poor defensively this season, and coach Nabi needs to address this if they are to win any silverware. After leading by two goals and creating more than enough chances, they lost their bearings, and their guests took their chances to split points. It’s a slap on their face, and I’m not sure they’ll want to lose against Polokwane City.

The hosts are unbeaten on their ground in nine consecutive league games; however, they have a terrible record against Kaizer Chiefs, who have only lost once on the same ground in ten meetings.

Both teams play on the same home ground and since the guests have a better squad, I’m backing them to at least secure before the break for 2.10.
