Smouha vs El Gouna Prediction: A defeat is inevitable for Gouna

In week four of the Egyptian Premier League action, Smouha will play El Gouna at Alexandria Stadium. The two teams could not pick a win in their last league game. How will they approach this encounter?

Smouha's last league game was against El Gaish, and they settled for a goalless draw. In that game, Smouha had 53 per cent of the possession and attempted seven shots while failing to convert any of the three that were on goal. However, this team lost to Zamalek in a prior encounter while picking a win in their opener against Haras El Hodood. This season, Smouha have four points, scored three goals and conceded three, leaving them seated in the 11th spot. 

El Gouna suffered their first defeat of the season the previous time out against Ghazl El Mahallah. In that game, El Gouna had 51 per cent of the possession and had six shots attempted while failing to convert any. However, El Gouna's first two games of the season ended in consecutive draws. With two points, Smouha sit 15th in the league’s log, the same points as 14th-placed Petrojet. 

El Gouna continue to struggle offensively, and this will be their downfall again. With zero goals scored so far, this team could approach this game with offensive play, but their defence will be the one to suffer for it. While Smouha have not been too dominant, I expect El Gouna to score their first goal of the season here. Also, Smouha look very sharp and determined compared to El Gouna this season, and at home, I will back them to take maximum points.
