Geylang International vs Hougang United Prediction: The hosts will do better this time

After their disappointing (4-4) stalemate against Balestier Central, Geylang International will be determined to rewrite their mistakes when they square off against Hougang United at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday. The hosts are one of the two teams yet to lose a game this season, but were below par in their most recent game. At the same time, the guests suffered their heaviest defeat of the season against Lion City.

The Cheetahs who have managed just a win since the start of the season have now lost five and drawn four, conceding thirty and scoring thirteen. 

Hougang United were one of the worst teams in the division despite finishing 6th on the log last campaign, and we are not sure they’ll go far this time. The Cheetahs have drawn twice and lost three over their last five away games. 

Over their previous twenty meetings, Geylang International have won six while Hougang United have recorded ten victories and four games ending in a deadlock. Geylang International lost focus despite their decent start in their recent game. They allowed ten man Balestier Central split points even though they were three goals up at the break. They must avoid such a questionable performance against a Hougang team who have a better head to head record.

The guests are not in their right state of mind and we think the Eagles will get off to a flying start here.
