Akwa United vs Bendel Insurance Prediction: The battle of the bottom table will end in a goal apiece

On Monday, Akwa United will face off against Bendel Insurance in what promises to be an end-to-end affair at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. The home side are in terrible form and will be looking to secure their fifth win of the season to vacate the relegation zone in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table, the same as the guests who have been inconsistent lately.

Mohamed Babaganaru's men have managed four wins this season, marching here with a heavy defeat on the road. Akwa United was lucky to have conceded four goals in a game where they were below par, as I think it could have been. Akwa United were dominated from the start to the end of the game against a newly promoted team. This was after they secured all the points against Plateau United on their home turf. 

Things haven’t been going in the right direction for coach Mohamed Babaganaru, and a defeat here could cost him his job. It’s imperative to state that Akwa United have managed four wins over their last fifteen games this campaign.

The Benin Arsenal are gradually building momentum in recent games and all their losses lately have been as a result of them not being able to take their chances. More recently, they recorded a (2-1) victory over Plateau United on their home turf. The result means they have now won twice in their last three games. 

Bendel Insurance have also scored in each of their last four matches, and they’ll be keen to find the back of the net here. 

Benin Arsenal have picked up fifteen points from a combined forty-five, scoring fourteen and conceding eighteen. They have drawn once, lost seven, and won a game on the road this season. 

Over their previous four meetings, Akwa United have recorded a win and a game ending in a tie, while Bendel Insurance have managed one victory. Akwa United are one of the worst teams in the division but have been pretty decent at home lately. They have won three consecutive games on their ground and are the favorite to amass all the points here. However, I have a feeling the hosts will at least get a goal here since they’ve scored in four consecutive matches. 

Both teams presently occupy the last spots on the log, and they’ll be poised to vacate the zone. I think a share of the spoils at the break might surface here for 1.92.

Akwa United can’t afford to lose this game as coach Mohamed Babaganaru could lose his job; bet on a home win and under 3.5 goals for 2.01.
