Blackburn Rovers vs Huddersfield Town Prediction: Both teams are at the bottom

Blackburn Rovers will welcome Huddersfield Town at Ewood Park in Game Week 28 of the English Championship. Both the teams are sitting near the bottom half of the table. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

If Blackburn Rovers had chosen to part ways with Jon Dahl Tomasson, the Danish coach would have very little to complain about considering the recent performance of his team. They have suffered six defeats in their last nine games, and one of their two victories was a comeback win against Cambridge United in the FA Cup. Tomasson may have hoped that the impressive comeback in that match would have set them up well for their next game against West Bromwich Albion in the league. However, Rovers slumped to a disappointing 4-1 defeat at The Hawthorns, bringing their total number of conceded goals to 20 in just seven fixtures. Tomasson now has three home fixtures to try and turn things around, but with Blackburn now eight points behind the playoffs, this may be his last chance to make a difference. Moore may not make any changes to his Huddersfield lineup after earning a point in their previous match. Due to multiple injuries, it is unlikely that the injured players will be rushed back into the starting lineup. Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Brahima Diarra are the most likely candidates for recalls in defense and midfield.

Huddersfield's main focus at this moment is to distance themselves from the relegation zone. They have only managed two wins in their last 15 league games. Darren Moore, the coach of Huddersfield, is feeling the pressure to keep his job at the John Smith's Stadium. The owners need to balance their long-term ambitions with the need to maintain stability on the pitch. With upcoming matches against Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday, avoiding defeat in this game would provide Huddersfield with much-needed momentum.

Tomasson is faced with a decision on whether to start Sam Gallagher, who played 28 minutes in his first match since September. There is also consideration for giving loanee Yasin Ayari his first start, but Sammie Szmodics will be prioritized if he has recovered from illness.
