El Gaish vs Petrojet Prediction: The home team will eke to winning ways

In round five of the Egyptian Premier League, El Gaish will take on Petrojet at Gehaz El Reyada Stadium. This will be the first meeting between these teams since 2019, and they will resume their rivalry with hopes of winning. Which team gets things right?

El Gaish are coming off a league cup encounter against Pharco, and they settled for a 1-1 draw. In that encounter, El Gaish took the lead before the break through Islam Mohareb strike, but then conceded in the 71st minute. 

However, El Gaish's last league encounter was against Al Ittihad, and they secured a 0-1 hard-fought victory away from home. In fact, despite losing their season-opening encounter against Al Masry, this team has not faced defeat in other games. In that run, El Gaish scored five goals while conceding five. 

In four matches, from a possible 12 points, El Gaish have seven and sits 8th in the league standings. 

Petrojet's last match was in the Egypt League Cup, and they secured a 0-1 win. In that game, Ismail Bamba netted in the 61st minute to see his side go top of the Group 1 standings. 

In the meantime, the visiting team's first four games of the season ended without a win. They lost to Pharco and El Ismaily in those matches, ending 1-2 and 0-1 results. Yet, their openers ended with draws with Pyramids and Modern with identical scores of 1-1.

Away from home, Petrojet have two wins in their last five games, one against Al-Sekka. In those games, Petrojet scored five goals while conceding seven. 

El Gaish have only one win in the last meetings of this fixture. Also, Petrojet have won three of the last meetings of this game. El Gaish scored five goals in their last five meetings, while Petrojet scored eight.  

I do not see either team having things easy, but I expect more from the home side. While newly promoted Petrojet are not having things easy in the league, being away from home is also not good. The home team has shown signs of top performance, and I expect them to take their chances. I will take the home team to win this game, as they have the bookies backing too. Also, while the visiting Petrojet have netted in most of their last matches, I expect goals from the two sides here.
