Orapa United vs ASEC Mimosas Prediction: Mimosas to extend their Confederation brilliant start

Francistown Stadium will host the CAF Confederation Cup encounter between Orapa United and ASEC Mimosas. The visiting team is the favorite side. Can the home team take a point?

Orapa United played Matebele the previous time out and secured a 0-1 win. In that game, in the 27th minute, Botsile Sakana's lone strike was the difference, sealing maximum points for this side. However, in their opener against USM Alger, they lost 6-0, conceding four goals in the first half. However, Orapa United have two wins in their last five games, defeating Tafic FC in that run. Heading into this game, Orapa United scored four goals in their previous five matches, conceding nine in the same run.

ASEC Mimosas played SOL the previous time out and settled for a 1-1 draw. In that game, in the 37th minute, Romaric Amoussou's strike put ASEC Mimosas in the lead, but a second-half Amede Dionade strike denied the maximum points. However, in their opening game of the CAF Champions League, ASEC Mimosas pulled off a 2-0 win over Jaraaf, with Razack Cisse and Kankonde Tshisungu striking for them. In the meantime, ASEC Mimosas had an unbeaten run of four games, defeating San Pedro while drawing ISCA. 

Mimosas have been below par this season, but their performance in the opener is worth commending. While Orapa United could not live up to the hype in their opener in this competition, their performance in the league has not been too poor. This is a game for grabs for the visitors, and looking at how weak Orapa United's defence was in the opener, I believe ASEC Mimosas should be able to score twice here.
