The Falcons enter the battle for the first major title in 2024. Over the past six months, Team Falcons has given the servers a range of emotions, from brilliant play to hardcore thrashing. The organizers of the Riyadh Masters 2024 didn't even hesitate to tease Malr1ne and the company, wishing them unpleasant games and a bad mood. But in reality, will Team Falcons be the favorites to win the tournament in Riyadh?

The answer is obvious - the Falcons will be the leading contenders for the title. Firstly, Team Falcons have developed an outstanding balance between experienced players and feisty rookies. ATF and Malr1ne are living the game right now, spending a lot of time matchmaking. They each have 5-7 signature characters that can win solo, and they can swap Razor and Timbersaw between them. Below the two 'geniuses' is a skiter, Carry, whose job is to farm and bring things to a broken throne, and Cr1t and Sneyking's sapports, who keep the boys safe and make things happen. Cr1t's career reincarnation has generally been very successful, as the Dane has quickly found a synergy with ATF and Malr1ne. He helps the former win the line, while he starts to move in the early minutes with the latter and provides essential assists. 

The Falcons are four-time BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 champions, the ESL One Birmingham 2024, and the twenty-second and twenty-third DreamLeague seasons. The team also finished second in the first season of the Elite League and third in the first season of the PGL Wallachia (where they had to play with a substitute). The challenge will be to win the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2024.

Gaimin Gladiators haven't been as strong as they used to be in the last six months. In 2023, they shared the top team title with Team Spirit and dominated almost every tournament. In 2024, the Gladiators didn't look as threatening, and their performance was sometimes disastrous. Perhaps fortunately, the Gaimin Gladiators' last few matches have been more successful than their entire first half of the year, and the team has given hope that the new patch will see them return to the top of the competitive scene. Will we find out in Riyadh if anything remains of Gaimin Gladiators' dominance?

The team's troubles in the past were due to an in-game meth that was introduced in patch 7.35. Previously, the Gladiators were left with dyrachyto-active carries and were less reliant on money, while Ace and Quinn were given leadership-oriented characters. After 20-25 minutes, Gaimin Gladiators had three equally strong characters at peak strength, plus tOfu was in incredible form and creating chances. Things began to deteriorate in the autumn, and the transition between 2023 and 2024 was critical. Quinn rarely returned to good form, Dyrachyo was uncomfortable playing greedy Carries, Ace was utterly lost on default offline and wasn't as impactful as before, and Tu and Seleri couldn't get their cows together to make good fights.

The Falcons last defeated the Gladiators in the Grand Final of DreamLeague Season 23. Statistics from 2024 show that Gaimin Gladiators are completely inept against Sneyking. Furthermore, Team Falcons will be warming up for this match against Team Spirit. So once again, we expect to see disappointed faces from the Gladiators and Thrashtock from ATF&Co.
