Entity vs Heroic Prediction: The Europeans are stronger individually

Entity is reminding the Dota 2 community that they can compete at the tier 1 level and go far in major tournaments. A potential victory over Heroic would put Fishman's side in a strong position going into the decisive matches.

Entity has been playing on the Swiss stage, and the players have found their form. Three of the team's players are in the top 10 KDA individual rankings, with DM claiming the top 1 spot with a 10.2. Dimitri contributes 24 of the team's 33 kills, very few deaths (2.3 deaths per map), and a lot of impact in fights. Entity has become less reliant on laning and has learned to come in from behind on gold. The matches against Team Spirit explicitly confirmed this - the Dragons were leading in gold and experienced mid-game on both maps. Still, Entity's few good fights completely turned the situation around. Kazakh Carry has been playing almost solo for the last few months while DM and No[o]ne have struggled, but they are now opening up to the full, and farming is easier on their characters.

Heroic is trying to make it into the playoffs despite not being guaranteed a place in the group stage. The K1 team beat Team Spirit (2:0), and this win puts them close to the top four in the group. Heroic has a reasonably comfortable schedule over the remaining three days of the group stage and can pick up points to put the South Americans in the top 8. Or are we deluded?

K1 stands out a little less here - he finishes games as usual, racking up a lot of Pharma, but can give less impact for wins. But 4nalog from the middle can win matches on his own - he beat Team Spirit and was very useful in the series against Team Falcons. He is far from a top-10 individual but is involved in 18 out of 23 team kills. Heroic relies on an early pace and is rarely able to come back after falling behind in gold and experience. However, this is a characteristic of South American teams - they get lost on the map if they fail to impose their game in the first few minutes.

Heroic has only managed one win in their last three series. Their draft picks have not been the best, and their execution has generally been poor. In theory, Heroic can win a map against Entity, but given the Europeans' actual form, it will be challenging.

Entity lost the last series, but that will not affect the balance of power in this meeting. The Europeans are stronger individually and as a team. Heroic has struggled to get a map in recent matches, and the South Americans are unlikely to be any different in this series.
