Right after winning the BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024, Spirit players were considered the main favourites for the EWC CS2 championship. But the Dragons failed to live up to expectations, confidently defeating MIBR, in the most one-sided match of the tournament in the Opening Stage, and losing in the quarter-finals to their opponents from G2 Esports.

Boris ‘magixx’ Vorobiev was the leader of the Spirit team in their opening match at EWC, racking up 33 kills on 16 kills. Donk, on the other hand, did not show the power that was expected of him.
