Zalgiris vs Olympiacos Prediction: Lithuanian team seems to be on a slump

The Lithuanians lost their last two games. Interestingly, they lost to teams ranked 15th and 16th in the standings, i.e. ASVEL at home and Maccabi away. The latter, which concedes almost 90 points per game, allowed Zalgiris to score only 78. When have the Israelis conceded so few? However, Zalgiris scored even less against the French - only 72.

Well, we have to admit that the Piraeans not only lose more often away than the other way around, but, indeed, they concede a lot - the average is still exactly 85 points per game. In the last five away games, they have only once conceded less than 80 points.

However, this fact doesn't answer the question of why Zalgiris, with its hard-to-pass defense, got 95 from Maccabi, but scored only 78 against the Israelis' shaky defense? Why did Zalgiris in Kaunas score 72 points to ASVEL, which concedes an average of 90 points on the road?

By the way, the Lithuanians have lost to Olympiacos at home three times in a row, and have never scored more than 78 points in those three games.

So, Maccabi had one and only victory in November and December. It happened to be over Zalgiris. Why the Lithuanians should beat Olympiacos after that and play them on top individually, we personally can't imagine.
