The Miami Marlins will be confident in this game following a win in the opener. In their series before this, the Miami Marlins defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, winning 9-8 and 4-3 in games 2 and 3, losing the opener by one run. However, the Miami Marlins have a shockingly poor record of 26-49 this season and are seated in the bottom spot of the National League East Division. 

The Seattle Mariners will look to perform better, having suffered a defeat in the opener of this game. With that defeat, the Seattle Mariners have a three-run loss. In their previous series, the Seattle Mariners lost to the Cleveland Guardians but then picked up wins against the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals. Seattle Mariners have an MLB record of 44-34 this season, leaving them top of the American League West Division. 

The Seattle Mariners should win this game without a doubt. The Miami Marlins did perform well in the opener, but looking at their overall season form, they are not worth backing. Also, despite losing the opener, the Seattle Mariners still looked very sharp, and while they are favorites once again, I am confident they will smash this.
