The Kansas City Chiefs were unlike themselves in the first third of the 2021 championship, losing three of their five games. Could last week’s win over Washington give Andy Reid’s team back their confidence? Let’s pick a few bets for Week 7, where the Chiefs will face the visiting Tennessee Titans.

.

Tennessee clinch first place in division

Quietly, Mike Wrobel’s team moved into first place in the AFC South division by week 7 of the 2021 regular season and pulled away from the chasing team with two wins. A strong bid for eventual success.

Tennessee played a powerful game last week. As part of the Monday Night Football series, the Titans hosted one of the best starting teams of the season, the Buffalo Bills, in their stadium and made good use of their strengths. Phenomenal running back Derrick Henry again made history, throwing 143 yards on the ground and scoring three touchdowns. At times it seems impossible to stop him. The points scored by Henry were enough to win, 34-31.

First place in the division and a win over Buffalo couldn’t be happier for fans of the Titans. However, the team’s game is still in trouble. The defensive performance is simply awful at times, and if it weren’t for Derrick Henry, the Bills, frankly, would have destroyed Tennessee. There’s no getting around the disastrous form of Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The meeting with Buffalo brought another failure in the passing game. Tannehill threw an interception and made only 18 accurate passes out of 29.

.

Kansas need a winning streak

The Chiefs’ problems to start the season have to do solely with psychology. A team that was just one of the strongest in the league can’t turn into an underdog overnight for other reasons. Perhaps last week’s away win over Washington will help the Chiefs deal with their emotional problems. Andy Reid’s team did win very convincingly in the capital, 31-13. Patrick Mahomes throws two interceptions for two touchdowns. But in particular, it can be reassuring to see just 13 points conceded by one of the league’s most interesting offences.

At the end of Week 6, Kansas have a 3-3 record. The team is still in last place in the AFC West division, behind Denver in extra points and one win behind Vegas and the Chargers.

Expert Betting Tips

There is little doubt that the Kansas City Chiefs will be adding as the season progresses. Already in last week’s game against Washington, Andy Reid’s team looked much more confident than in the opening meetings of the championship. The game against Tennessee will likely be another remedy for their psychological problems. The Titans have too many problems - trouble with their defense and pass offense. Derrick Henry won’t be throwing three touchdown passes every game. But even if he does, Tennessee’s defensive lapses will still keep Tennessee from winning consistently. Patrick Mahomes, who didn’t have his best game against Washington, will surely have his work cut out for him in Nashville.
