U.S. President Donald Trump shared his admiration for former UFC champion Conor McGregor during a meeting with Irish minister Micheal Martin.
I do happen to like your fighter, he's got the best tattoos I've ever seen. Conor's great, right? Ireland's always had a lot of good fighters. You know why? 'Cause they're tough people.
McGregor last fought Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he lost by technical knockout due to a leg injury that prevented him from continuing the bout.
McGregor made his UFC debut in April 2013 against American Marcus Brimage, winning that fight by technical knockout in the first round. His professional record stands at 22 wins and six losses.
