Former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira said he gained just over 10 kilos after the weigh-in before his fight with Jan Blachowicz. The fight Pereira vs Blachowicz will take place on the night of July 30 at UFC 291.
Recall that at the weigh-in, Pereira was 93.21 kilograms. Shortly thereafter, the Brazilian said his weight was already 103.5 kg.
Blachowicz had his last fight against Magomed Ankalaev in December 2022 at UFC 282. This confrontation lasted the entire distance and ended in a draw. Jan has 29 wins, nine losses and one draw under his belt.
Pereira last entered the octagon against Israel Adesanya in April of this year at UFC 287. That fight ended with Alex losing by knockout in the second round. He has seven wins and two losses on his record.
