“As for comparisons with Khabib Nurmagomedov, he has also brought glory to his country and written his own name in history, just like Abdulrashid Sadulaev, who has done the same. Comparing them is pointless. Each athlete is unique and is great in their own way, with their own fanbases, and each one represents their country and family.

“What would it take for a fighter to surpass Ovechkin's achievement? They would need to step on the ice and try to score 900 goals. Then an MMA fighter could surpass Alexander's record," Malykhin said.

On April 6, Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals scored his 895th goal in NHL regular season history, becoming the league's all-time leading scorer. The Russian surpassed the previous record held by Canadian Wayne Gretzky, who scored 894 goals.
