According to Aftonbladet, the head of the Swedish Football Union, Fredrik Reinfeldt, is accused of threatening staff who disagreed with him regarding their vote for the host country of the 2034 World Cup.
The 59-year-old Reinfeldt, who previously served as the country's Prime Minister from 2006 to 2014, cast his vote for Saudi Arabia as the host for the 2034 tournament. FIFA officially confirmed on December 11 that the World Cup will take place in the Middle Eastern nation, previously contested by Australia for the hosting rights.
Sweden has also faced criticism from the football community for not following Norway's example and choosing not to withdraw their votes.
