Harry Kane, the 31-year-old forward for Bayern Munich, has become the joint all-time leading scorer among English players in UEFA Champions League history, alongside former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, according to Opta Sports.

On September 17, Bayern Munich defeated Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 in their opening match of the 2024/25 Champions League group stage. The English striker made a significant contribution, scoring four goals during the game.

With this achievement, Kane matches Rooney with 30 goals, solidifying his place as one of the top scorers in Europe's premier club competition.

The list also includes winger Raheem Sterling, who currently plays for Arsenal with 27 goals; former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes with 24; ex-Chelsea player Frank Lampard with 23; and former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard with 21 goals.

Kane transferred to Bayern Munich from Tottenham in the summer of 2023. His current contract with the German club runs until the summer of 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €100 million.

As of now, Bayern Munich holds the top spot in the Champions League standings with three points, while Dinamo Zagreb sits at the bottom with no points.

Previously, Kane received the Golden Shoe as the top scorer across all European leagues at the end of the last season.

Additionally, the Bayern forward recently played his 100th match for the England national team.
