Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has stated that he will remain with the club even if they are excluded from the English Premier League (EPL) for financial rule violations.
Guardiola told City Xtra:
I will stay here. Next year, we will rise and return to the English Premier League.
In February last year, Manchester City were accused by the EPL of 115 breaches of financial regulations spanning from 2009 to 2018. Hearings for this case began in September, and a decision is expected in the spring.
The Citizens currently sit second in the EPL table with 23 points.
Earlier, Guardiola addressed why he chose to remain with the English club during an interview with journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano.
