Georgina Rodriguez, partner of Cristiano Ronaldo, shared her feelings about her husband's transfer from Manchester United to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr.

Rodriguez told Marca:

When Cris told me he would be playing for Al-Nassr, I felt a huge relief because I was eager to leave Manchester.

The Portuguese striker returned to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 from Juventus and played for the Red Devils until November 2022. Prior to leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo gave a controversial interview to journalist Piers Morgan, where he discussed issues within the club. Following that, Manchester's manager Erik ten Hag made the decision to fire the player.

Previously, Ronaldo had played for the English club from 2003 to 2009. During his time with the Red Devils, he participated in 346 matches, scoring 145 goals and providing 64 assists.

Since January 2023, Ronaldo has been playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. Throughout his time there, he has participated in 70 matches across all competitions, netting 63 goals and providing 17 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2025, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value stands at €15 million.

Journalist Piers Morgan stated on his social media that Ronaldo's claims about problems within Manchester United turned out to be true. Former Red Devils defender Gary Neville criticized the Portuguese forward for his behavior after returning to the English club.
