On March 13, the news broke about the death of Oliver Miller, a former NBA player, at the age of 54. The National Basketball Retired Players Association confirmed the news, but the cause of death has not been disclosed.
Miller spent nine seasons in the NBA after being picked 22nd overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 1992 draft. Throughout his career, he played for several teams, including the Suns (1992-1994, 1999-2000), the Detroit Pistons (1994-1995), the Toronto Raptors (1995-1996, 1997-1998), the Dallas Mavericks (1996-1997), and the Sacramento Kings (1998-1999).
In 2002, he was signed by the Indiana Pacers, but his contract was terminated before the season began. During the 2003-2004 season, Miller signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he averaged around 10 minutes of playtime per game.
