The Real Madrid and Germany legend, who bid farewell to professional football following Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign, has announced his return to the world of football.

The ex-Real Madrid midfielder announced his return to the pitch on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself with the caption, "One more dance."

The midfield maestro is gearing up to return to action in the Icon League, an extraordinary five-a-side tournament showcasing football’s legendary icons, current stars, and even renowned athletes from other sports. The tournament will include several German national players, Robert Andrich and Antonio Rudiger, and the ex-Bayern stars Franck Ribery and David Alaba.

The tournament begins on March 10 at Düsseldorf’s Castello arena, featuring seven teams competing over 13 matchdays.

Toni Kroos enjoyed a remarkable career, starting at Bayern Munich, where he claimed three Bundesliga titles (two of them consecutively), a UEFA Champions League trophy, and two DFB-Pokal titles. Kroos then made a sensational move to Real Madrid, where he added 21 more trophies to his collection, including four La Liga titles and five UEFA Champions League triumphs.
