Argentina Copa America 2024 Squad: Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, & Di Maria Made the Provisional List

The World Champions and the Copa America defending champions, Argentina, have released their squads ahead of their next friendly games and a provisional squad for the upcoming Copa America. The squad will feature Lionel Messi leading the team, while three top division league winners, Julian Alvarez (Manchester City), Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan), and Exequiel Palacios (Bayern Leverkusen), are included in the squad list. Argentina will play in Group A alongside Peru, Chile, and Canada and open its title defense against Canada on Friday, June 21st. Paulo Dybala has been left out of the Argentina squad despite the Roma attacking midfielder scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists for Roma this season. The 30-year-old also helped Roma reach the semifinals of the Europa League before the Italian side lost to Bayer Leverkusen.
